Hai gaiss!! kembali lagi dengan saya, disini saya akan menjelaskan dan mempelajari tentang Recount Text. Definisi dari recount text, lalu purpose, text strucktur, expression, dan lainnya

1) DEFINITION : 

• Recount text is a text that is telling the reader about one story, action, or activity. Recount text is a text which retells event or experiences in the past 

2) PURPOSE : 

• To retell past experience
• The purpose of a recount is to list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened
• Recounts are written to retell events with the purpose of either informing or entertaining their audience (or both)

3) TEXT STRUCTURE : 

1. Orientation 
2. Series of Event 
3. Reorientation.

4) EXPRESSION / SENTENCES : 

  • Structure recount text : 

1. Orientation : who was involved, or when and where the events took place.
2. Series of events : This section is part of the contents of the text which contains a series of sequential events experienced by the author
3. Reorientation : This section is the cover of the text which contains conclusions, messages, impressions, or the author's feelings for the events experienced.

  • Language Features) Recount Text : 

1. Simple past tense  : Subject + Verb Contoh: I ran, Subject + be + Complement Contoh: It was hard.
2. Adverb of Time dan Adverb of Sequence : example adverb of time : yesterday, last week, a year ago. 
3. example adverb of sequence : first, then, after that. 

5) TYPE OF RECOUNT TEXT : 

• Personal recount, A personal recount is what’s most likely to be covered in school
• Factual recount, includes things like newspaper reports. The purpose of a factual recount is to inform (rather than entertain) the reader about a particular event
• Imaginative recount, This kind of recount writing applies factual knowledge of an event to create a fictional account of that event
• Procedural recount, Procedural recounts aren’t very common in English lessons - they’re more for scientists. In fact, they’re most often used to describe an experiment so that it can be replicated by others
• Literary recount, This kind of recount writing is all about entertainment. They can be about fictional or real events and involve real or fictional characters
